On Air Details
Well things do change in radio, sometimes when you least expect it.  You can now find me on the air Sunday afternoon from 3-7p on KSSK and filling in when needed.  Thanks to all who were a part of my midday shift for the past 8 years.

Bio
Born in Massachusetts.  That means I'm a huge Red Sox fan.  Fever Pitch?  Yeah... I'm almost that bad.  Sadly though, I have never been to Fenway Park... : (  I've lived in Hawaii since 1982 and will always call Hawaii my home...but one of these summers, I've got to go catch a game!  Monster seats.  Mid-July.  Beer and a dog.  Heaven indeed!)

I've been in radio for almost 10 years, having worked at 3 other stations here in Hawaii.  I joined KSSK in 1999. and have done every shift but love the middays because I can spend time with my family.
I always wanted to be in radio and grew up listening to Michael Q-Seng, Willie Moku and later Mark & Brian.  Some dreams do come true...

When not on the radio, I enjoy playing guitar(wish I was better at it!), surfin' the net, listening to Red Sox games, watching the occasional movie thats not rated G (my kids are young!),  play with the kids and most of all...spend time with my wife!   I keep trying to find time to work out, read, work on the house/yard...hey if I could figure out a way not to sleep I might get it all done!

Go Warriors! (or Bows if you're old school!)  Good luck guys and I envy anyone who gets to go the game!  Other than the old BYU games, I don't think I've ever been as excited as I was to watch these past two games.  I actually missed the first part of the game because I was down town with the family watching the Xmas parade but my brother was giving me updates via cell phone until I got home!

Hawaii Winter Baseball!

vs.
Thanks to Hawaii Winter Baseball for having us this past weekend at Hans L'Orange Field!  We all had a great time and gave away a trip to see the San Francisco Giants to KSSK listener Carla Rezentes!  Congratulations!  Click on the movie reel and see me throwing out the first pitch before the game!  My style of pitching?  More like Tim Wakefield than Josh Beckett...I lob the ball in and have no idea where it will end up!

Tesh Tips for Thanksgiving!

Ready for your turkey, right?  Turkey's good for us, right?  It's not the only thing on your plate this holiday season!  Here’s a quick look at some Thanksgiving foods, and how incredibly healthy they are for us!

 Cranberry sauce- it’s a great source of vitamin C, vitamin E, and antioxidants- they strengthen the immune system, and reduce the risk of stroke;

Yams- they’re incredible, and packed with twice the daily recommended allowance of vitamin A- they’re also known to help your vision

Pumpkin pie- it’s orange, because it’s loaded with beta-carotene, which is a powerful antioxidant that slashes the risk of lung cancer, heart attack and stroke.  And you can cut 90% percent of the fat by using skim milk and an egg substitute when you make your next pie!

Share this intel, and your listeners will be thankful that you heard it on The John Tesh Radio Show!
