I lucked in a chance to learn the basics of golf, not injure myself and become interested in properly PLAYING an outdoor activity! Friends and family, don't be shocked! hahaha this was my #NewToMe of the week... #GetGolfReady in Hawai'i!
I am at "zero level" :) I played mini-golf and once went to a driving range with my brother though I felt golf was a game "other people" played (I can only say that means, "other than Me!")
To the point, Suzy Whaley, PGA, played professional golf and shares her on-the-tour knowledge with beginner-to-pro golfers.
That's key! When you want to learn the correct way to grip a club, the proper stance with said club and knowing to take your time to grow your skill..."Get Golf Ready" is for all levels!
(below, at Waialae Country Club) Suzy Whaley (black top, blue skirt) instructs me (white hat!) on her favored way to hold a golf club. Suzy's way had me holding the club extended in front of me in my left hand with just my thumb and index finger! Also, Ann Miller/Honolulu Star Advertiser (red shirt) got a few great tips to improve her game (she was on it!):
I plan on an upcoming Beginner's schedule in the near future!
