(ABOVE: Back in the day, "the bread flight" was the first morning one out to deliver the baked goodies to the neighbor islands though I still call it that! I took a 5:15am journey from Honolulu to Kahului, Maui for a few days this past weekend...)

(ABOVE: Coming in for a landing! I was way excited as this was for my Class Reunion with other alum from Lahainaluna High School and one night chilling Upcountry...)

(ABOVE: Friday morning, I was to meet up with one of my classmates in a store parking lot and I realized that I am glad that I need a map of the Valley Isle...and a full tank of gas! This was about two miles from the airport...)

(ABOVE: I stayed in a studio in Olinda...yes, Hapa's song OLINDA ROAD...and this was my view off the patio: West Maui Mountains with Kahului waaaaayyy down in the mid-right hand corner of this image...)

(ABOVE: Same vista, just moving my camera a skosh to the right...could you dig a window opening out to this every day? It was so quiet, maybe a few birds though the wind chimes would gong every so often...I was so relaxed and I was *blank* in my mind: ohhhmmmm...)

(ABOVE: ...As the day began, so it shall end with a brilliant sunset. Bumming that I could not really capture the rays streaming down through the cloucs and how the pockets of water in the valley between Haleakala (where I was in Olinda) and the West Maui Mountains (where the sun was making a grand exit) were glistening the setting orb. So pretty...)

(ABOVE: Me in silhouette, just taking in the Valley Isle views!...)

(ABOVE: Driving to Lahaina on H'Piilani {Honoapi'ilani Hwy}, I spied the outline of Kahoolawe in the distance. It was a bit overcast a few hours here and there throughout the weekend...yes, that is a faint outline of it! Yay!)

(ABOVE: I took this one this morning because I got so much sun...too much sun???...where I am even more tan that my co-worker Kelsey! That boy lives to be browner than most!...well, since I did not go Komoda's or someplace for any souvenirs, this has to do: a deeper shade of vacation!)
I had other images though these were the ones I had to share! I miss the island of Maui when I know I get to visit though I spend just the right amount of time there, hang out with friends and it is perfect! GO LUNAS!!!
I rolled into JOHN DOMINIS RESTAURANT'S parking area a bit past eight o'clock this morning and was enjoying the surfers in the waters offshore as I was walking toward the joint:

(ABOVE: Valet lot filling up from the guests dropping by....)

(ABOVE: there are benches outside of the restaurant to chill and you can listen to the Perry & Price Saturday Morning Show live in progress...)

(ABOVE from left: DALE and WOODY were the engineers/sound crew for the P&P Saturday Morning Show today; in the background with the purple lei, Saturday Morning Show producer SWEETIE PACARRO)

(ABOVE from left, seated in the foreground: MICHAEL W. PERRY and LARRY PRICE are chatting up the live audience inbetween going live with their show!)

(ABOVE: The *backstage* area; this is where I usually sit when I visit the Saturday Morning Show; the young people who float in this general area make sure the guests arrive on time, that the prizes are passed out and really help make the P&P Show run like clockwork!)

(ABOVE:...ah...the delicious breakfast buffet at John Dominis! I was going to take pics of the offerings though I was afraid of drooling and dropping my camera into the macademia encrusted french toast! Some ono, you know!)

(ABOVE from left: Ukulele maestro ROY SAKUMA and one of his talented students, NICK ACOSTA...)

(ABOVE: Roy Sakuma talks with P&P about an upcoming recording project, the song I AM WHAT I AM, that he wrote many moons ago and brings back shmall keed time memories for me :-] )
(ABOVE: Just before going live, Perry & Price in the foreground are talking about their next musical guests, {top left corner in image} BROTHERS CAZIMERO and their latest cd DESTINY!)

(ABOVE: from left, ROBERT and ROLAND CAZIMERO performing live...)

(ABOVE: Perry & Price with guest musicians Brothers Cazimero, as seen from the audience's point of view...how fun is that?!)

(ABOVE: {from left} HAPA is Barry Flanagan and Nathan Aweau...they opened their performance with one of my most fave songs, *Olinda Road*...[swoon!]...)

(ABOVE: Hapa spoke about traveling to Japan six times last year and loving the audiences; each appreciate the chance to play, here and abroad!)

(ABOVE: more amazing live music with HAPA...)

(ABOVE: Wheeee! ELMO and SUPER GROVER of Sesame Street Live! were greeted by the lil' ones in the audience with wide eyed glee and joy! Awwww!....)

(ABOVE: The keiki were lining up for a chance to high five, hug and just get some face-to-face time with Elmo {bright red fur} and Super Grover {bluish fur...hmmm, the Muppet with the cape!}. Parents ought to be proud as each child was patient and waited their turn to take pictures after they got off stage...)

(ABOVE: A slight crush, a minor rush to say hello to Elmo and Super Grover before they dashed out to their matinee of Sesame Street Live! at the Blaisdell Concert Hall)
