ROZ makaula

KSSK Radio is Hawaii’s dominant and most listened to source for up to the minute and breaking news, traffic and weather 7 days a week.

Our Newscenter team of journalists is the largest Radio News Department in Hawaii. KSSK’s professional and informative news reporters provide complete local and State wide coverage for the people of Hawaii. We are also Hawaii’s choice for breaking National and world news. Reporters are standing by at more than 1200 Clear Channel stations nationwide to provide KSSK listeners with the latest news from their cities. With satellite and internet facilities our National and worldwide coverage is kept moment-to-moment by the ABC Radio Network and by Metro News.

Whenever a breaking story develops KSSK will interrupt programming for live coverage by our news team..when we say, “when news breaks…we break in”…we really mean it.

When the story demands, we will provide coverage for all seven of the Clear Channel stations in Honolulu (ie: a Hurricane approaches Hawaii…the country goes to war in Iraq). When a fire turns the sky dark or the freeways turn to parking lots and Hawaii needs to know they turn to KSSK.

The Newscenter also produces Public affairs programming for all of the Clear Channel stations in Hawaii. Our Sunday morning “Community Matters” program is an hour long interview show that tackles the issues that matter most to the people of Hawaii.
